Dirt Crew Excavator Operator

Responsibilities

• Effectively completes excavation and related tasks such as backfilling excavations and breaking concrete or rock using appropriate equipment.
• Reshapes a site's terrain by digging and moving quantities of earth or rock.
• Counsults on-site before operating equipment to identify needed maintenance or repairs.
• Performs a variety of tasks involving physical labor.
• Operates hand and power tools.
• Works under various field and weather conditions.
• Moves objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Stands, walks, climbs, kneels, bends, twists, pushes, and pulls as part of the job.
• Wears required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per safety manual and OSHA regulations.
• Operates equipment on weekends if requested by the Foreman.
• Communicates effectively with the Foreman.
• Has reliable transportation to reach jobsites.
• Jobsites can be up to 80 miles one way from the starting point.
