Key Responsibilities Portfolio Wellfield Operations & Production Performance Lead portfolio-wide landfill gas collection, wellfield operations, gas recovery, and RNG production support across multiple facilities. Standardize operating procedures, performance expectations, and field execution practices across wellfield operations. Oversee wellfield balancing, tuning, gas quality management, and collection-efficiency improvements. Optimize wellfield performance to increase gas recovery, stabilize gas quality, improve reliability, and reduce production losses. Develop corrective action plans for poor well performance, air intrusion, condensate issues, excessive vacuum, and related deficiencies. Partner with Operations and landfill teams to align wellfield conditions, processing needs, production stability, and financial performance. Wellfield Development & Capital Planning Own the long-term wellfield development strategy across the landfill portfolio. Develop annual and multi-year capital plans for wellfield expansion, replacement, and optimization. Prioritize projects based on gas recovery potential, regulatory need, operational risk, capital requirements, and financial return. Review designs, specifications, construction plans, contractor proposals, and system expansion opportunities. Oversee construction and installation activities to meet design, schedule, budget, safety, and operational requirements. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Ensure gas collection systems comply with applicable federal, state, local, permit, and environmental requirements. Oversee monitoring, inspections, recordkeeping, reporting support, and corrective actions for wellfield compliance. Support Environmental and Regulatory teams during inspections, audits, permitting activities, and agency interactions. Identify compliance risks and implement mitigation plans before issues become regulatory or operational problems. Incorporate wellfield modifications and development activities into applicable permits and compliance programs. Data, Reporting & Performance Management Build dashboards, standardized reports, benchmarks, and forecasts for performance, recovery, compliance, uptime, and lost production. Analyze operational data, SCADA, GIS, monitoring systems, and field insights to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Leadership & Organizational Development Lead and develop the wellfield organization across the company's landfill and RNG portfolio. Define staffing levels, organizational structure, responsibilities, training standards, and performance expectations. Recruit, train, coach, and develop wellfield managers, supervisors, technicians, and field personnel. Build succession plans and strengthen technical leadership throughout the wellfield organization. Promote safety, accountability, compliance, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the team. Contractor & Vendor Management Manage drilling, construction, environmental, monitoring, and specialty contractors from proposal review through project delivery. Set contractor performance expectations, safety requirements, and project execution standards. Manage contractor relationships in coordination with Procurement, Operations, and executive leadership. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to design specifications. Strategic & Executive Leadership Serve as the primary subject-matter expert for landfill gas wellfield strategy, operations, development, and performance improvement. Advise executive leadership on wellfield strategy, capital investments, staffing, compliance, and production opportunities. Support acquisition due diligence and technical assessments for prospective landfill gas and RNG projects. Evaluate wellfield conditions, development requirements, and operational risks at prospective acquisitions. Scale standardized systems and processes to support portfolio growth and consistent execution. Improve EBITDA through increased gas recovery, reduced operating costs, and improved facility utilization.
