Director, Web Platform Engineering

For our client, a leader in the Real Estate & Construction space, we are seeking a Director of Web Platform Engineering to join their team. This role focuses on the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, working across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical solutions.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

About the role

This position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Real Estate & Construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for the web platform, partnering with the product lead to align strategy and goals.
• Contribute directly to architecture, code reviews, and development across the platform on a daily basis.
• Lead architectural decisions for personalization and content delivery, ensuring they meet business objectives.
• Guide the team's development while remaining current on the platform's capabilities as a committed CMS.
• Document the architecture and knowledge to ensure team-wide expertise and cross-training.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of web platform or CMS engineering experience, especially with Sitecore AI.
• Strong hands-on background in headless frontend architecture and Vercel or similar platforms.
• Deep familiarity with search platforms like Coveo, Algolia, or Elasticsearch, especially Coveo.
• Proficient in Git and modern CI/CD practices, with experience in GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in mentoring and growing engineering teams.

Pay

$150,000 – $170,000 annually.
