Responsibilities
- Provides strategic leadership and oversight to the department in order to enhance advisory capabilities.
- Educates associates to leverage identified tax and estate planning opportunities embedded in client situations.
- Provides training and guidance on tax, estate, and financial planning issues that enable associates to create appropriate recommendations for client action.
- Proactively develops and delivers thought leadership articles, marketing material and presentations.
- Leads internal tax consultation delivery to relationship management teams addressing tax implications of account dynamics and proposed planning techniques.
- Manages the preparation of tax or information returns for Wealth clients to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve group goals.
- Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies in order to meet objectives.
- Maximizes department achievements by providing professional development.
- Mitigates fiduciary risks to the Bank by reviewing certain processes and account types for adherence to Tax Regulations, Trust Regulations and internal Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience in Trust, Probate, or Tax
- High School Diploma or GED and 14 years of experience in Trust, Probate, or Tax
- PREFERRED: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Juris Doctor (JD)
