About the Role

As our next Director of Truck Sales Operations, you will play a crucial role in strategic leadership, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end sales infrastructure, inventory management, and administrative governance across both the New and Used truck divisions. By uniting the customer-facing execution layer (Sales Support Specialists) with the back-end compliance layer (Sales Administration), this position ensures maximum asset velocity, seamless deal processing, and rigorous operational control. The Director will optimize the commercial vehicle lifecycle, manage complex inventory dispositions, and champion the utilization of core business systems to drive organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Truck Sales Administration Supervisor, Sales Administration team, and Sales Support Specialists (SSS).
  • Bridge the gap between frontline sales execution and back-end financial/legal governance to ensure a frictionless B2B customer journey.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for deal processing times, document accuracy, inventory turn rates, and administrative efficiency.
  • Oversee complete inventory controls for both new equipment and pre-owned assets.
  • Serve as the executive super-user and strategist for the Arcadium Business Management Software (BMS), ensuring data integrity and system adoption.
  • Partner with Finance, Service, Parts, and Leasing departments to maximize cross-selling opportunities and corporate profitability.
  • Perform other dynamic duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required; significant equivalent professional experience will be heavily considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial vehicle sales operations, dealership administration, or heavy-duty transportation management.
  • At least 3 years of experience directly managing supervisory and multi-tiered administrative teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of Arcadium (or similar enterprise CRM/BMS platforms) and Google Workspace applications.
  • Deep understanding of commercial truck titling, state/federal taxation, warranty structures, and asset remarketing.
  • Proven ability to manage complex inventory valuations (trades, wholesales, repos) and analyze operational data to drive efficiency.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to collaborate across corporate departments and address high-level client escalations.
