Director, Transfer Pricing
Responsibilities
- Lead complex and high-profile transfer pricing consulting engagements, including global documentation and planning strategies; audit defense, controversy, and APA matters; and intangible property planning, valuation, restructurings, and M&A-related projects
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders
- Oversee direct functional and economic analyses to ensure alignment with actual business operations and to support practical, defensible conclusions
- Advises clients on business restructurings, IP migration, and intercompany license arrangements
- Direct and review sophisticated valuation and financial modeling analyses to support transfer pricing positions and planning initiatives
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships, identifying strategic opportunities for additional services
- Originate and lead business development initiatives, including proposals, pitches, and networking
- Mentor and develop team members
- Collaborate across practices on multidisciplinary consulting projects
- Contribute to firm-wide thought leadership and market positioning
Requirements
- 6–9+ years of transfer pricing experience, preferably in a consulting environment
- Demonstrated ability to leverage economic and financial expertise to advise clients on strategic decisions and support defensible tax positions
- Strong executive communication capability, able to present sophisticated economic analyses in a structured and clear manner
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and direct complex research and analytical work
- Advanced Excel / modeling and quantitative skills supporting high-impact client advisory work
- Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, analytics, or automation to enhance analyses and streamline workflows
- Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and deadlines
- Proven client-relationship and team-leadership capabilities
- In-depth understanding of U.S. and OECD transfer pricing principles
- Ability to translate complex technical issues into pragmatic business advice
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in the field of Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills
