Director, Technical Services

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Technical Services to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This leader will oversee technical operations across a distributed manufacturing network, with a strong focus on process validation, cleaning validation, and technology transfer. The role will partner closely with site teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive technical consistency, resolve complex manufacturing issues, and strengthen quality and compliance in a regulated environment. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can combine deep technical expertise with team development and network-level execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology transfer of products and processes across multiple manufacturing sites
• Own the cleaning validation program, including protocol development and execution
• Lead process validation activities, including documentation and ongoing verification
• Troubleshoot technical issues and drive corrective and preventive actions across sites
• Provide hands-on support for equipment-related problems and improvements
• Set and oversee network-level strategies and standards for manufacturing processes
• Manage and develop a team of Technical Services Managers, ensuring consistency and quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• 12+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or sterile/nonsterile compounding with hands-on ownership of relevant processes
• Expertise in 503A/503B compounding operations, sterile injectable manufacturing, or API/peptide manufacturing
• Knowledge of USP standards and FDA guidelines for process validation and API manufacturing
• Strong experience in root-cause investigation and CAPA in regulated environments
• Ability to collaborate across geographically distributed sites with remote teams
• Proficient technical writing skills for validation protocols and reports

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually
