Director, Technical Services

Brief Description Delta Industries, Inc. is a trusted regional construction materials supplier. Established in 1945, Delta Industries aims to provide a solid foundation for economic prosperity and quality of life through construction materials solutions. We need a Technical Services Director to oversee all technical aspects of ready-mix concrete production and application. This role ensures product quality, compliance with industry standards, and provides technical support to customers and internal teams. The Director will lead initiatives for innovation, mix design optimization, and troubleshooting to maintain superior product performance. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain mix designs to meet project specifications and performance requirements.Ensure compliance with ASTM, ACI, and other relevant industry standards.Oversee quality control processes, including material testing and batch verification.Provide technical support to sales, operations, and customers regarding product performance.Investigate and resolve product-related issues and complaints.Lead research and development initiatives for new products and technologies.Train and mentor technical staff on best practices and quality standards.Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.Collaborate with operations to optimize production processes and reduce costs. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.8+ years of experience in concrete technology, quality control, or technical services, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Expert knowledge of concrete mix design and performance characteristicsFamiliarity with ASTM, ACI, and other industry standardsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesProficiency in laboratory testing and data analysisAbility to travel as business needs dictate Summary Delta Industries, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
