Director Surgical Services

Responsibilities

• Assume administrative responsibility for all areas/functions of the Perioperative Services Division on a 24/7 basis, including pre-procedure testing, Pre-Op, Main OR, Ambulatory and Minor Surgery, PACU, GI Lab, Sterile Processing, and Central Service.
• Develop policies and procedures as well as quality improvement programs for areas of responsibility.
• Develop the capital and operating budgets for the Perioperative Services Division.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, including interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or another related field (Required); Master's Degree in Nursing or related field (Preferred).
• Work Experience: 5 years experience to include three (3) years of progressive management/leadership experience (Required).
• Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure (Required); if a Registered Nurse, must have current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License (Required); Certification in area of clinical specialty (Preferred).
