About the role
The Director of Surgical Services at Good Samaritan Hospital is responsible for overseeing the unit(s)/department(s) to ensure high quality, patient-centered care. Key responsibilities include fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and managing budget and staffing.
Responsibilities
- Cultivates a superior clinical identity by identifying and implementing evidence-based practices to advance patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Ensures adherence to standards of care and stays abreast of legal and regulatory standards.
- Develops and implements policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with all legal/regulatory standards.
- Fosters interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within and across departments.
- Provides leadership to sustain an unparalleled patient experience and elevates the patient experience through strategies and feedback mechanisms.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and patient experience leaders to ensure compliance with evidence-based practices.
- Identifies opportunities for expansion or development of new services and product lines to promote growth.
- Participates in the annual budget process, monitors department budget performance, and manages operating expenses.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- 1+ years applicable experience required.
- 3+ years applicable experience preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $184,683.20 - $276,848.00 per year. The typical candidate is hired below the midpoint of the range.
