Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply management team, fostering collaboration, engagement and alignment with organizational goals.
- Provide strategic leadership for assigned categories, projects, and initiatives within supply management, serving as a key member of the management team and primary liaison to business units and corporate functions.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with internal business clients and key partners (e.g., Legal, Risk Management), ensuring a deep understanding of business needs to proactively anticipate requirements and support effective work planning and execution.
- Anticipate market shifts, supply chain risks, and organizational needs by leveraging data, dashboards, and performance metrics to keep leadership informed, guide decision-making, and adapt strategies proactively or as challenges emerge.
- Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies in partnership with stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable plans that deliver measurable year-over-year value through improved financial performance, service quality, operational efficiency, risk reduction and mission impact.
- Develop negotiation strategies and negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable commercial terms, quality and service standards, reliable supply, and appropriate risk mitigation.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition through delivery, functions effectively, delivering compliance, timeliness, cost efficiency and organizational value.
- Monitor supplier performance, assess and manage associated risks, resolve disputes, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement based on data, market trends, benchmarking and evolving business needs.
- Lead and or manage cross-functional projects and initiatives, applying strong project management, organization, and prioritization skills to drive execution, meet deadlines and deliver measurable business value.
- Perform other duties and take on special assignments as needed to support organizational priorities and advance the mission.
Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, contracting, negotiation, supply chain risk management and supplier relationship management.
- Strategic and critical thinker with a curious, analytical mindset and demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action, navigate obstacles, drive accountability and deliver measurable results in a complex and changing environment.
- Proven leadership and team development skills, with adept influencing skills and the ability to build productive, collaborative relationships across functions that enable execution and results.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to develop and deliver clear presentations and stakeholder communications.
- Daily appearance on video for meetings is a requirement for this position.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to guide teams through high-pressure, deadline-driven situations.
- Strong problem-solving, financial, commercial and business acumen, with the ability to understand business and supplier economics, evaluate trade-offs, and translate analysis into actionable recommendations and decisions.
- Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and comfort managing through ambiguity.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including ability to analyze complex data and financial information; strong proficiency in PowerPoint and other Microsoft 365 applications used for executive communication, collaboration, and business management.
