Position Overview

The Director of Supply Chain Management will support a $1.6B business with 2,500 employees in North America. They will provide strategic and operational leadership over end-to-end supply chain activities, aligning these activities with business and financial goals.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business and financial goals.

  • Lead demand and supply planning, inventory management, and network optimization.

  • Oversee procurement, supplier performance, and strategic sourcing initiatives.

  • Manage logistics, distribution, and transportation strategy.

  • Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and productivity initiatives.

  • Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs and performance dashboards.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Engineering.

  • Lead, develop, and mentor supply chain leaders and teams.

  • Develop a profit plan forecast for the following year and drive achievement during the current year - 24-month rolling, including a 5-year Strategic Plan.

  • Develop and deploy regional SCM strategy along with commodity category leaders to deliver YOY cost reduction and meet profit plan commitments for the business.

  • Frame global business opportunities and support growth of product families inside and outside of all relevant GEIS networks.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive supply chain or operations experience.

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership or director-level roles.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and planning processes.

  • Proven ability to lead transformation and change initiatives.

  • SIOP experience and success leading the process.

  • Likely to be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Education

  • An undergraduate degree is required.

  • A Master’s degree is preferred.

Compensation

The expected annual salary range for this role is $182,000 - $266,000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Location

This position will be based in Syracuse, NY. It can also be based in other Eaton hub locations.
