Purpose
The Structured Finance Business Manager supports the Structured Finance businesses within Global Capital Markets (GCM), including Structured Credit, Securitization, and Mortgages. The role is responsible for advancing product strategy, financial management, performance monitoring, and execution of strategic initiatives across the platform. Working closely with Product Heads, Desk Heads, Finance, Technology, Operations, Risk, and other control functions, the incumbent helps drive business performance, enable growth, and ensure alignment with GCM and Bank-wide strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy and Business Planning
- Support Product Heads and senior leadership in the development and execution of multi-year business strategies.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, measurable outcomes, and execution roadmaps.
- Identify market trends, competitive developments, and emerging opportunities to support business growth and strategic decision-making.
- Financial Management & Performance Monitoring
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor business performance against financial and strategic objectives, identifying key drivers, opportunities, and risks.
- Analyze business metrics and performance trends to support management decision-making.
- Partner with Finance to enhance forecasting methodologies, management reporting, and business analytics.
- Deliver meaningful business commentary and insights to senior management.
- Business Management & Execution
- Track delivery of key business priorities, ensuring appropriate governance, accountability, and execution discipline.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Technology teams, and COOs to assist prioritization of investments in support of strategic objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders by identifying emerging themes, risks, and opportunities.
- Executive Reporting & Governance
- Own the preparation and development of materials for Town Halls, Operating Committees, Executive Committees, Board presentations, and regulatory forums.
- Develop clear and compelling narratives that communicate business performance, strategic priorities, and key risks.
- Ensure reporting is accurate, insightful, and aligned with executive and Board-level expectations.
- Stakeholder Management
- Build strong partnerships across Front Office, Finance, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and other support functions.
- Influence stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities and initiatives.
- Represent business interests within strategic, operational, and governance discussions.
- Culture & Leadership

- Support effective management of operational, compliance, conduct, AML/ATF, sanctions, and reputational risks.
- Promote strong controls, governance, and risk management practices across the business.

- Deep knowledge of Structured Credit & Finance businesses
- Product strategy experience
- Financial analysis and planning expertise
- A strong culture, risk, and controls mindset
- Highly proactive with a collaborative approach
- Strong communication skills; ability to distil key themes from large amounts of information
- Ability to prioritize amongst many competing deliverables at any given time
- Aptitude and interest in developing deep relationships with stakeholders across groups
- Strong MS Office skills – PowerPoint, Excel, Word
