Team and Partners

Key design partners will include Apparel Design Director, Senior Director, Streetwear Apparel Design, Color & Material Footwear Director. Key cross‑functional partners include Business Product Directors and Business VP Leaders, Dimensional Merchandising leaders, Development Directors, Design and Product Operation Directors and Managers.

Candidate Profile

• Creative Apparel Color Design Director for Jordan Streetwear, cultural expert with deep understanding of the Jordan consumer and knowledge of cultural trends and behaviors.
• Creative powerhouse with excellent taste to drive the future look of Jordan Apparel.
• Seasoned team leader who values diversity to foster strong, dynamic teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Design or a related field (or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training).
• 10 years of design experience, including 2 + years of management experience.
• Extensive experience creating color palettes and concepts, exploring new color‑blocking and application strategies.
• Product color experience (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of the apparel product creation process.
• Experience working directly with manufacturing partners to ensure accurate color application and execution.
• Understanding of brand partnership on color narratives.
• Experience managing designers and leading strategic design direction.
• Demonstrated leadership that influences process change.
• In‑depth research on consumer trends, insights, and competitors for a focused market segment/category.
• Experience building inspiration/concept presentations and mood boards for seasonal concepts and direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide color solutions that drive product and marketing success, including trend research and selection of the seasonal color palette and its application on product.
• Manage and contribute to succession planning and segmentation activities.
• Oversee performance management, compensation, and resourcing decisions for direct and indirect reports.
