Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee, support, and mentor Managers and Senior Mangers providing timely relevant and constructive feedback.
  • Leverage staff, delegate, and instruct, being accountable for any deliverables, for on time and on budget completion.
  • Evaluate and critique quality of work ensuring staff produces excellent work.
  • Build and foster strong client relationships, serving as the primary contact, demonstrating an advanced level of executive presence, and receiving high satisfaction on engagements.
  • Oversee complex engagements with a responsibility for engagement initiation, planning, management, solving issues, and completion as defined in VMG policies.
  • Review and approve reports, before submitting to the client, as requested.
  • Provide clear and concise presentations of findings and implications to clients. Ensure staff understands strategic implications of findings.
  • Provide and approve accurate engagement fees for proposals and adjustments to billing.
  • Understand, anticipate, and articulate clients’ needs to staff. Alert staff of any changes.
  • Initiate development of creative solutions to complex problems and unique market and organizational dynamics.
  • Develop frameworks, learning materials, or assets to help build the knowledge of the service line.
  • Originate new clients, selling a sustained level of annual fee volume (approximately half of which must come through a primary originator role).
  • Seek opportunities to expand and strengthen personal network, collaborating with colleagues to generate cross-selling opportunities.
  • Complete all administrative functions, mandatory training, and other internal responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Review monthly billing promptly to support timely and accurate billing of clients.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable in work schedules and assignments as defined by departmental and company need.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8+ years of consulting experience; 10+ years of healthcare industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience
  • Master’s degree with relevant work experience
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and commitment to excellence in work product and client service.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including editing, demonstrating responsiveness to clients and colleagues.
  • Basic competence in public speaking.
  • Ability to demonstrate insight and professional judgment, with an aptitude for critical thinking.
  • Takes initiative and is proactive.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and drive for continuous learning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and applicable software tools.
  • Deep technical expertise in identified areas of specialization.
