For our client, a leader in the Legal & Accounting space, we are seeking a Director of Strategy & Transformation to drive complex programs from planning through execution with a focus on structure, accountability, and measurable delivery. This role offers the opportunity to bring clarity to complex work and deliver outcomes that matter across the organization.

Location: Chicago, IL – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

About the role

You will work across business leaders, delivery teams, and strategic partners to align priorities, manage dependencies, and keep initiatives on track within a Legal & Accounting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in defining strategies and executing transformation projects
  • Utilize financial and operational knowledge to align organizations with goals
  • Develop and standardize finance processes and ensure compliance
  • Establish governance frameworks, roles, and reporting structures
  • Create and implement transformative solutions and operational models
  • Evaluate current states and provide optimization recommendations
  • Manage multiple projects effectively through coordination and documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • At least 12 years of related experience, preferred in industry or consulting
  • Demonstrated leadership in sectors like Public Sector, Not for Profit, or Higher Education
  • Expertise in finance and accounting, particularly in optimization
  • Proven ability to manage senior-level client relationships
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Project/program management certification or Agile certification is a plus

Pay

$203,900 – $441,780 annually
