Director, Strategy
Position Summary
The Director of Strategy will play a critical role in shaping the company’s long-range strategy and guiding the analytical and executional work that brings that strategy to life. You will help guide and execute the company’s strategic decisions—from long-range growth planning to enterprise-wide transformations—ensuring we deliver a fun, discovery-driven customer experience while scaling with discipline and clarity. This role is ideal for a sharp, hands-on strategist who loves solving complex problems, crafting clear stories, and collaborating across functions to turn strategy into impact.
Qualifications
- 6–10 years of experience in corporate strategy, retail strategy, management consulting, or a similar field.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and financial modeling capabilities.
- Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
- Passion for youth culture, value retail, and delivering a fun, engaging customer experience.
Strategy Development & Long-Range Planning
Support the creation and evolution of the company’s long-term strategy and multi-year financial/operational plan. Lead deep-dive analyses on categories, trends, operations, and customer insights to inform strategic choices. Translate insights into well-structured strategies and recommendations for senior leadership. Analytical Excellence Own the development of financial models, business cases, and scenarios that underpin strategic decisions. Evaluate new initiatives and opportunities with analytical rigor and a customer-centric mindset.
Executive-Ready Communication
Develop clean, compelling presentations for the leadership team. Communicate complex ideas simply and persuasively to diverse audiences.
Cross-Functional Initiative
Partner closely with teams across merchandising, operations, digital, stores, marketing, and finance to drive strategic initiatives forward. Help teams translate strategy into structured plans, milestones, KPIs, and implementation approaches.
Change Management & Collaboration
Support change management efforts that enable new strategies, capabilities, and processes. Build strong relationships across the organization to foster alignment and momentum.
