Purpose

The Director, Enterprise Strategy will play a critical role in helping shape Athene's long-term direction and enterprise growth agenda. This role sits at the center of the company's most important strategic efforts, partnering with C-Suite leadership on enterprise growth priorities, capability incubation, AI-enabled transformation, strategic partnerships, and long-term value creation.

Accountabilities

  • Enterprise Growth Portfolio Management: Shape enterprise growth priorities with senior leadership, advancing opportunities from thesis through decision and investment
  • Enterprise Growth Platforms: Develop growth platforms that expand Athene's position across retirement and adjacent markets by building new business models, ecosystem architecture and cross-business growth engines
  • Capability Incubation: Partner with New Markets, Retail, Corporate Development, and business leaders to help incubate strategic opportunities and transition successful initiatives into operating businesses
  • AI-Enabled Transformation: Inform Athene's AI transformation agenda and incubate capabilities required to transform how we do business and drive competitive differentiation
  • Strategic Partnership Architecture: Define and develop partnership strategies with FinTech and technology providers to accelerate growth and capability development
  • Talent & Culture: Help build a high-performing, collaborative culture that develops talent and promotes innovation across the enterprise

Qualifications and Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or growth-focused roles, with experience in retirement services, asset management, financial services, technology, or related industries
  • Strong analytical foundation, including financial modeling, business case development, market sizing, competitive analysis, strategic assessment, and investment evaluation
  • Confidence and strong executive communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and engage credibly with C-suite leaders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and drive outcomes in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred

Pay

$185,241.60 - $277,862.40 USD Annual

Schedule

Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
