Director Strategic Sourcing
About the Role
The Director of Strategic Sourcing works cross-functionally with all Institute Leaders, Market Leaders, and key stakeholders in the delivery of care to enable year-over-year value through the implementation of sourcing strategies aimed at improving price positions, reducing unwarranted clinical variation, and improving utilization of clinical devices and drugs.
The Director manages and grows a team of sourcing leaders, sets strategic direction, and interfaces with the business, clinical leaders, operations leaders, and others to understand requirements, deliver value, minimize disruption, and meet budgeted savings goals. This position collaborates with Institute clinical leaders, Institute administrative leaders, external contracting coalitions, nursing leaders, operations teams, procurement, vendor and data teams, vendors, business teams, and diversity and inclusion teams.
The role focuses principally on the strategic implementation of value impact and innovation projects throughout the organization. The Director partners with senior leadership, clinical leaders, and analytics and finance teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
- Graduate degree (required); MBA preferred
- 4+ years of experience in sourcing, category management, or contract negotiation
