Director Strategic Sourcing

Strategic Sourcing is a critical function to a low-cost airline and the Strategic Sourcing Director is the key to ensuring the contracts and relationships are in place to properly support the operation in a cost-effective manner. Strong communication skills are required as all departments will require support from the Procurement Director. The Director is also responsible for leading procurement initiatives that improve the organization and keep the low-cost nature of the organization intact, while not suffering service level or quality impacts. Here’s What You’ll Do Implement proper procurement processes, leveraging subject matter experts to cater programs to meet their needsCreate and manage requests for information, quotes, and proposals (RFX)Develop contract management standards and proper storing and retentionProvide key performance indicators for measuring procurement performance and measuring performance against implemented agreementsNegotiate contracts for purchase of goods and services for operational and corporate needs including, but not limited to, software, hardware, fuel, ground service equipment, airport services, uniforms, third-party commerce programs, components, and materials, etc.Manage vendor management activities with internal business teams, including analyzing vendor performance, documenting failures, and following up with the vendor on complaints and other issuesBuild relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers to work towards enhancing existing agreements, communicating changes, and updating contractsOther duties as assignedAchieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence Minimum Qualifications Here’s what you need to be successful 4-year degree in Finance or a related field10+ years of procurement experience, including progressive leadership rolesExperience with contract review and analysisHigh performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibilityStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management skillsSelf-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for successComplete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet deadlinesMust have authorization to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Skills/Talents Knowledge of procurement best practices, total cost of ownership, planning, and analysisSolid negotiation skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExceptional communication skillsHigh-level leadership skillsExcellent organizational and time-management skillsPractices extreme ownership and transparencyProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExemplifies Breeze’s safety culture, values, and missionAbility to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization Physical Demands & Working Conditions Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerFrequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipmentOccasionally lift and/or move up to 15 poundsOccasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environmentClear verbal and written communication, requiring adequate speech, hearing, and vision Perks of the Job Health, Vision and Dental – Full TimeHealth Savings Account with Breeze Employee Match401K with Breeze Employee MatchGenerous PTOTravel on Breeze and other Airlines too!
