Accountabilities
- Oversight of strategic direction, development, and delivery of a global communications network
- Strategic leadership, hands-on communications expertise, and field-building to influence public discourse and policy conversations
- Supporting fundraising efforts for the communications network and national initiatives
- Representing the organization within the strategic communications field
- Mentorship, training, and strategic guidance to communications professionals, partners, and network participants
Requirements
- Experienced strategic communications leader with a strong understanding of narrative change, movement building, and global communications ecosystems
- Proven ability to develop communications strategies that influence public conversations, policy debates, and social movements
- Experience managing distributed teams and networks while fostering collaboration across different geographic and cultural contexts
- Strong understanding of media ecosystems, digital communications, messaging frameworks, and communications innovation
- Ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, persuasive, and impactful communications materials
- Demonstrated experience working with funders, partners, coalitions, or advocacy organizations
- Excellent leadership, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to operate effectively in a remote-first, fast-moving, and mission-driven environment
- Strong judgment, adaptability, and the ability to navigate sensitive political and social contexts
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and building diverse teams and partnerships
