Accountabilities

  • Oversight of strategic direction, development, and delivery of a global communications network
  • Strategic leadership, hands-on communications expertise, and field-building to influence public discourse and policy conversations
  • Supporting fundraising efforts for the communications network and national initiatives
  • Representing the organization within the strategic communications field
  • Mentorship, training, and strategic guidance to communications professionals, partners, and network participants

Requirements

  • Experienced strategic communications leader with a strong understanding of narrative change, movement building, and global communications ecosystems
  • Proven ability to develop communications strategies that influence public conversations, policy debates, and social movements
  • Experience managing distributed teams and networks while fostering collaboration across different geographic and cultural contexts
  • Strong understanding of media ecosystems, digital communications, messaging frameworks, and communications innovation
  • Ability to translate complex ideas into accessible, persuasive, and impactful communications materials
  • Demonstrated experience working with funders, partners, coalitions, or advocacy organizations
  • Excellent leadership, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a remote-first, fast-moving, and mission-driven environment
  • Strong judgment, adaptability, and the ability to navigate sensitive political and social contexts
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and building diverse teams and partnerships
