Director, Strategic Business Development

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Strategic Business Development to join the team of a leader in the Retail & Consumer Goods space. This role will drive market-entry and growth initiatives in emerging infrastructure segments, with a particular focus on data center and AI infrastructure opportunities. The director will build executive relationships, shape go-to-market strategy, and lead complex deal cycles from early discovery through contract execution. This position partners closely with cross-functional teams to align offerings, client needs, and revenue objectives in a competitive market.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

$150,000 – $180,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute market-entry strategy for data center and AI infrastructure sectors
• Identify and generate new business opportunities through industry expertise and networking
• Close strategic deals while building and maintaining client relationships
• Engage in industry conferences and events to promote the company's market presence
• Lead the complete sales process from discovery to contract execution
• Mobilize cross-functional teams to align capabilities with client requirements
• Monitor revenue performance and market activity to drive growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or equivalent relevant experience
• 10+ years in business development, strategic sales, or related roles
• 5+ years of leadership experience in managing sales teams
• Proven success in go-to-market and business development strategies within the data center and related sectors
• Established network of executive relationships in the industry
