Director, Software Product

About the role

This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Media environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead marketing's role in software product strategy and user experience
• Serve as the liaison with IT/software development, advocating for user needs
• Define and adapt the product roadmap to align with customer feedback
• Own messaging, positioning, and promotion of software tools
• Develop go-to-market strategies for software updates and features
• Oversee creation of customer help resources and onboarding processes
• Act as a connector among marketing, IT, product teams, and users

Requirements

• Strong yearbook industry experience with a keen understanding of user needs
• 7+ years in product marketing or product management, focused on software or technology tools
• Deep knowledge of B2B marketing, digital solutions, and SaaS product development cycles
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects
• Exceptional communication skills in written, visual, and verbal formats

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in education, publishing, or the ed-tech market
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced environment

Pay

$110,000 – $130,000 annually
