Responsibilities
- Own pricing and licensing models for a portfolio of B2B and B2C software offerings, including package structure, value metrics, license metrics, and feature placement.
- Lead pricing and licensing decisions for major business-model changes, including model transitions, deployment types, and commercial generations.
- Translate approved pricing and licensing decisions into implementation requirements across quoting and order management, licensing systems, billing, contracts, and customer-facing communications.
- Define and evolve license constructs such as named user, network/floating (concurrent), device-based, hybrid, and usage-based models; recommend when each model best aligns with product value, customer workflows, and deployment realities.
- Drive pricing and licensing decisions in alignment with broader company goals, ensuring changes are governed and executable at scale.
- Use data and modeling to evaluate pricing and licensing tradeoffs, as an input to model design.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and 10 years of professional work experience (or equivalent experience) is required.
- Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
- Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of software pricing and licensing model design, from definition through launch and implementation in systems such as CPQ, billing, or licensing platforms.
- Experience designing license metrics, entitlements, and commercial rules for enterprise software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior and cross-functional audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives through influence rather than authority.
- Experience with SaaS pricing, monetization models, usage-based pricing, or cloud licensing.
- Experience leading or supporting major business-model transitions.
- Familiarity with enterprise software and global pricing structures.
