Director, Software Engineering (Loans Lifecycle)

Responsibilities

• Set vision and drive execution for the Loans Lifecycle engineering organization
• Take ownership of engineering and business outcomes related to loan systems and financial data
• Define and execute technical roadmap for scalability and architecture evolution
• Possess strong technical background in distributed systems and database architecture at scale
• Partner with multiple departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Balance product expansion with foundational platform investments
• Drive operational excellence in batch pipelines and online services
• Enhance development lifecycle and foster culture of operational excellence
• Hire, develop, and retain a high-performing engineering team

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience in software engineering
• 3+ years managing managers with proven manager development track record
• Experience leading multiple engineering teams in backend services and big data
• History of driving outcomes essential for company success
• Comfortable influencing across various disciplines and leaders
• Proven ability to hire, grow, and retain engineering talent
• Domain knowledge in financial systems, lending, accounting, or fintech
