Director Social Emotional Learn&Support

Duties

• Driving social emotional learning opportunities and providing safety nets and supports for students
• Providing professional development and consultation to administrators and staff to enhance positive academic outcomes for students
• Supporting implementation of SEL curriculum
• Enhancing embedded SEL instruction into classroom content
• Assessment of student SEL skills
• Provision of effective, research-based multi-tiered SEL supports and interventions
• Supporting implementation of Tier II group and Tier III individualized interventions
• Oversee School Adjustment Counselors, School Psychologists, and social work and psychologist interns
• Conduct Title IX investigations related to possible sexual harassment
• Application for and subsequent monitoring of relevant grant opportunities

Experience

• Eight years minimum leadership experience in an educational and/or clinical setting with a focus on providing social, emotional and behavior supports
• A strong understanding of school and district level systems
• Knowledge of SEL competencies and the ways these can be developed in students within an educational setting
• Experience providing consultation and support to families and to peer and non-peer audiences
• Experience coordinating and delivering professional development for a variety of internal and external stakeholders
