Director, SOC Engineering

For our client, a leader in the Finance & Insurance space, we are seeking a Director of SOC Engineering to lead technical work focused on secure, reliable systems and risk-aware execution. This role collaborates across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions, influencing architecture, execution quality, and long-term technology capabilities in a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and roadmap for SOC Engineering services
• Oversee administration and reliability of security monitoring platforms
• Ensure platform performance meets availability and security objectives
• Provide leadership for telemetry services and detection capabilities
• Establish engineering standards and operational processes for service delivery
• Drive modernization and automation initiatives to improve service quality
• Develop technology roadmaps and manage vendor relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience required
• Master's degree or relevant advanced certification preferred
• 10+ years of IT infrastructure or cybersecurity engineering experience required
• 2+ years of IT management experience required
• Strong understanding of security operations and threat detection required
• Demonstrated experience in building technology roadmaps required
• Advanced people management skills required

Pay

$126,710 – $188,840 annually
