Director, Server Production
About the role
Supermicro, a global leader in high performance, high efficiency Server and Storage technology and green computing, is seeking a Director, Server Production to join its established and growing production team. The ideal candidate should bring deep manufacturing industry knowledge, thought leadership, and passion to help expand the company’s manufacturing capacity and global footprint.
Responsibilities
Developing and implementing production objectives and policies.
Utilizing key performance metrics (KPIs) to monitor efficiency and report findings to executive leadership.
Implementing strategies for cost reduction, quality assurance, and process improvement.
Managing and coordinating production activities to ensure efficient completion of projects.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental laws, and other applicable guidelines.
Liaising with other departments, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful completion of projects.
Monitoring and analyzing industry trends to identify areas of improvement.
Hiring and evaluating staff, as well as fostering a productive, inclusive work environment.
Requirements
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in server total solution, manufacturing operation and other related fields.
Bachelor or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
Proven experience in a senior management role, typically in operations and production, with a strong background in business administration.
Deep knowledge of production/operation management.
Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and make high-stakes decisions. Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with departments.
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
Proficient in industry-specific technology and knowledge.
Proficient in ERP software will be a plus.
Qualifications
Regular in-office attendance required.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $170,000 - $210,000, with the final offer dependent on various factors including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role. A comprehensive benefits package is also included, along with potential opportunities for bonuses and equity awards.
