Director/Senior Director, National Accounts - East

About the role

This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement pre-launch and launch access strategies for key accounts
• Act as the primary strategic leader for regional accounts
• Create account-specific action plans to expedite coverage determinations post-FDA approval
• Build relationships with payers and establish company credibility in the medical policy space
• Educate payers on clinical evidence and health-economic data to support favorable coverage
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align on commercial strategies and execution needs
• Conduct all payer engagements in compliance with relevant regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) preferred
• 15+ years in pharma/biotech; minimum 10 years in payer account management
• Proven track record achieving positive coverage outcomes for rare disease products
• Pre-launch payer strategy experience is essential
• Hands-on experience with miscellaneous J code environments
• Strong knowledge of managed care economics and coverage policy processes
• Experience in early commercial-stage biotech or startup environments

Pay

$238,000 – $322,000 annually
