For our client, we are seeking a Director, Security Engineering to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This leader will shape the security engineering function and guide the technical direction of managed security capabilities that support client protection and service quality. The role will partner closely with delivery, practice, and business stakeholders to improve operational performance, strengthen standards, and ensure strong client outcomes. This position also plays a key role in proposal development, service refinement, and financial stewardship across the practice. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $180,000 annually Responsibilities Lead the security engineering practice for SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and related platforms Own the technical direction and quality of Managed Detection and Response offerings Drive process improvements and deliver metrics on client operational experience Provide practice management support and partner on proposals and service offering development Oversee adherence to quality standards and security policies Ensure efficiency and value of services delivered by the practice Manage financial aspects, including budgeting and vendor and tooling decisions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience; master's degree preferred Advanced security or leadership certifications such as CISSP or CISM preferred 10+ years of experience in information security and managed services Proven leadership of security engineering or managed security services delivery teams Strong experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and platforms such as Wiz and Cribl Experience in practice management and delivering managed security services engagements Ability to participate in on-call support and maintain a flexible schedule Benefits Commitment to inclusivity through Employee Resource Groups Work/life balance support Access to professional training resources Opportunities for creative problem-solving Encouragement of community engagement through volunteer opportunities Support for remote work with necessary technology Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
