Director, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting (Remote)

About the role

This position supports financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a life sciences environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including Form 10-K and 10-Q
• Support quarterly earnings release preparations and investor relations materials
• Ensure compliance with SEC regulations for non-GAAP disclosures
• Conduct technical research on complex accounting topics and provide recommendations
• Draft and maintain global accounting policies and technical memos
• Keep stakeholders informed about accounting and reporting developments
• Support external auditors during audits and control the flow of information

Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent
• CPA certification
• 8-10 years in public accounting, ideally from a Big 4 or large firm
• Experience in financial reporting for a large accelerated filer
• Strong knowledge of SEC reporting, GAAP principles, and technical accounting
• Proficiency in Workiva (Wdesk) and SAP systems
• Experience managing share-based compensation administration

Pay

$178,500 – $216,000 annually
