About the role
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the Insurance industry—specifically within General Insurance or Health Insurance—and must have worked significantly in the Retail Agency / Broker Sales channel.
Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and onboard potential Insurance partners within the Retail Agency channel.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to build long-term, high-value partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Agency, Renewals, Telesales, and Bancassurance channels (focus on Agency).
- Foster trust, collaboration, and long-term engagement.
- Develop, refine, and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Deeply understand the organizational structures of major insurance players and expand into new markets/channels.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the Insurance space.
- Share actionable insights with leadership and relevant teams.
- Work closely with Product, Sales, Alliances, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams for seamless partner support and product alignment.
- Track sales performance, key business metrics, market trends, and competitor updates.
- Present progress reports to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Account Management within the Insurance industry.
- Strong background in General Insurance or Health Insurance with major exposure to the Retail Agency / Broker Sales channel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing high-value deals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently (IC role) and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel as per business requirements.
