About the role

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in the Insurance industry—specifically within General Insurance or Health Insurance—and must have worked significantly in the Retail Agency / Broker Sales channel.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and onboard potential Insurance partners within the Retail Agency channel.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to build long-term, high-value partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Agency, Renewals, Telesales, and Bancassurance channels (focus on Agency).
  • Foster trust, collaboration, and long-term engagement.
  • Develop, refine, and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Deeply understand the organizational structures of major insurance players and expand into new markets/channels.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in the Insurance space.
  • Share actionable insights with leadership and relevant teams.
  • Work closely with Product, Sales, Alliances, Finance, Marketing, and Operations teams for seamless partner support and product alignment.
  • Track sales performance, key business metrics, market trends, and competitor updates.
  • Present progress reports to internal stakeholders and leadership teams.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development, or Account Management within the Insurance industry.
  • Strong background in General Insurance or Health Insurance with major exposure to the Retail Agency / Broker Sales channel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing high-value deals.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently (IC role) and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as per business requirements.
