The Team
The Healthcare Industry Group, a subsidiary of A&M, leads transformational change in healthcare. We provide specialized services in interim management, restructuring, revenue cycle management, M&A, compliance, digital technology, and analytics. Our professionals collaborate with a wide range of organizations, including health systems, physician groups, medical schools, behavioral health institutes, managed care organizations, healthcare investors, medical device companies, and suppliers, as well as vision centers, dental practices, and laboratories.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders through clear communication and thoughtful partnership.
- Assess how clients are approaching their businesses and engage in C-suite and board-level conversations regarding challenges and strategic initiatives.
- Build, review, and present financial models (e.g., 13-week cash flow forecasts, pro-forma analyses, three-statement models) and operational models to support client decision-making.
- Swiftly assess business needs and design and implement measurable solutions spanning all aspects of operations.
- Communicate regularly with clients and project team members, escalating matters requiring additional attention.
- Provide strategic guidance to manage a client through crisis, helping identify solutions.
- Collaborate and align with representatives from other service lines.
- Effectively own client project plans and engagements, including defining, prioritizing, and sequencing work to meet deadlines.
- Lead and manage performance of project teams, including assigning and delegating responsibilities and providing coaching and feedback.
- Mentor and develop junior staff.
- Improve client tracking tools and develop KPIs and metrics to identify operational performance improvement opportunities.
- Redesign and implement leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational and financial outcomes.
- Demonstrate knowledge of engagement economics, project delivery, budgeting, billing, and collections, including managing implementation risk and profitability.
- Identify and manage potential risks to client delivery.
- Develop and deliver high-quality work products using both qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., cash waterfalls, payment velocity, cost-to-collect).
- Utilize experience in interim leadership roles or as the lead on engagements while managing client relationships.
- Develop transition and hand-off plans to ensure improvements are sustained following project completion.
- Build relationships with clients and seek opportunities to expand business while generating leads.
- Act as an integral member of the sales team, developing significant portions of proposal and pitch documents.
Revenue cycle projects may include due diligences, performance assessments, enterprise performance improvement, full-scale implementations, and interim management for a broad range of healthcare providers and supporting services companies.
Qualifications
- A minimum of ten (10) years of prior work experience in healthcare, consulting, or the healthcare industry such as revenue cycle, hospital, accounting, audit, private equity, or healthcare operations with a healthcare focus.
- BA/BS degree and/or MBA/MS in Accounting, Finance, or other related healthcare fields such as MHA.
- Prior experience with revenue cycle in a hospital or larger health system.
- Experience working with private equity on operational due diligence and performance improvement is a plus.
- Experience with healthcare revenue cycle issues and solutions for improvement related to increasing collections, reducing DSOs, increasing efficiencies, and detailed knowledge of government and third-party payors.
- End-to-end expertise in Revenue Cycle systems, operations, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Experience with workflow redesign and system implementation.
- Ability to identify key operational performance drivers and flexibility to support clients with a broad array of issues.
- Foundational understanding of healthcare financial statements and core Revenue Cycle drivers that impact financial performance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills; experience with Tableau, SQL, SPSS, Power BI, Action O-I benchmarking, or MGMA survey data is preferred.
- Experience managing client engagements, deliverables, and workstreams while mentoring junior staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information to all levels of client personnel.
- Effective management of Private Equity sponsors and/or client sponsors at the C-Suite level.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Pay
The salary range is $165,000 - $180,000 annually, dependent on several variables including education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
