Director, Retail
About the Role
The Director of Retail supports retail innovation, brand standards, and operational excellence across multi-client sites. They serve as a subject matter expert, guiding food programs, development, and consistent execution. This leader brings proven hospitality and culinary management experience, driving menu development, hands-on cooking, cost control, new business openings, staff training, and food safety.
This is an individual-contributor role focused on completing specific tasks and projects, contributing directly through skills and expertise. Work is primarily achieved independently but may involve collaboration with a team.
Responsibilities
- Play a key role in developing service strategies that directly impact client satisfaction, consumer engagement, and business performance.
- Lead initiatives blending data-driven insights with creativity to keep offerings competitive and compelling.
- Influence KPIs and performance metrics that shape how success is measured across service lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new service concepts from ideation to execution.
- Gain exposure to enterprise-level decision-making and contribute to high-visibility projects.
- Stay at the forefront of evolving customer trends and translate them into actionable service improvements.
- Align innovation with operational feasibility and client expectations to drive tangible impact.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading service or deployment initiatives within the food service or hospitality industry at the director or senior management level.
- Analytical skills with a track record of using data and insights to shape strategies and inform business decisions.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing programs that drive sales growth, improve customer experience, and enhance operational outcomes.
- Expertise in managing and reporting on service KPIs to assess impact, optimize performance, and support continuous improvement.
- Project leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams through concept development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of management experience.
- 5 years of related experience.
Pay
Pay Range: $139,145 – $180,070 per year. Eligible to participate in Sodexo's incentive plan and earn variable compensation in addition to base salary.
