Director, Research

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Research to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will lead player and market research efforts that inform strategy across regulated markets and help shape how the business understands its customers and competitive landscape. The director will partner closely with Marketing and other internal teams to translate insights into decisions that strengthen brand perception, improve player experience, and support growth. A key focus will be building a disciplined research function that combines qualitative and quantitative methods with clear, actionable storytelling. The position also oversees team development, external research partners, and the ongoing monitoring of trends and regional market nuances to keep the organization ahead of change. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $160,000 – $170,000 annually Responsibilities Lead ongoing player and market research initiatives across regulated markets Maintain a competitive scorecard tracking market position and player experience Develop and manage the Research team, focusing on capacity and development Collaborate on brand perception and campaign research with Marketing Conduct diverse research methodologies, including surveys and user testing Translate research insights into actionable recommendations for various teams Monitor emerging trends and adapt research strategies to regional nuances Qualifications 8+ years of experience in player or market research, ideally in gaming, fintech, or digital products Demonstrated expertise in consumer insights and competitive intelligence Proven ability to apply qualitative and quantitative research to inform business decisions Experience managing external research agencies and vendors Strong storytelling skills to synthesize complex data into actionable recommendations Benefits Discretionary annual company bonus based on role eligibility 401(k) plan with a 100% company match on the first 4% Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options Paid Time Off policy, with eligibility varying by role Employee Assistance Program (EAP) supporting mental and emotional health Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
