Director, Quality Resource - Behavioral Health

About the role

The Resource Director of Quality serves as an interim leader across various behavioral health facilities when a vacancy occurs. They assume all duties expected for the specific role during their tenure.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Enhances hospital visibility by engaging with the community on mental health and substance abuse needs.
  • Functions as a liaison between physicians, patients, referral sources, and employees.
  • Ensures inpatient programs are staffed appropriately to deliver high-quality care.
  • Maintains staffing and budget benchmarks for the hospital.
  • Assures adequate supervision and evaluation processes for all staff members.
  • Assists with the orientation of new employees.
  • Maintains the hospital’s quality/risk program.
  • Monitors and analyzes data on hospital performance.
  • Collects and investigates incident reports.
  • Develops and implements improvement plans using the PDCA method.
  • Acts as a role model for excellent customer service and holds all staff accountable.
  • Assumes all responsibilities of Director of Risk Management/Quality at assigned hospital.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, or related clinical field from an accredited school is required.
  • A Master's degree in clinical field from an accredited school is preferred.
  • Three years of risk management and regulatory compliance experience in a healthcare setting is required.
  • Counseling, Social Work, or Registered Nurse license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
  • De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
