Director, Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

About the role

Old Vineyard Behavioral Health Services is the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital, providing comprehensive care for chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs. Our 164-bed inpatient services span adolescents to senior adulthood, offering assessments, psychiatric evaluation, medication stabilization, daily group therapy, and personalized aftercare planning. We also provide Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Programs to ensure continuity of care. As the Director of Quality Assurance & Process Improvement, you will serve as a liaison to department directors, administration, and medical staff to monitor and enhance the provision of quality care, develop strategic plans, and foster a culture of quality throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans for quality improvement functions.
• Promote a comprehensive culture of quality throughout the facility.
• Model appropriate behavior aligned with Old Vineyard’s Mission.
• Collaborate with department directors, administration, and medical staff to ensure quality care is monitored and continuously improved.
• Lead and facilitate teams to achieve desired outcomes using advanced quality tools and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards established by The Joint Commission and CMS.
• Manage data collection, aggregation, statistical analysis, and use of statistical display tools.
• Apply techniques and methods of adult learning to training and facilitation.
• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and communicate effectively with healthcare personnel and external constituents.
• Manage by influence in a consultative role, exercising independent judgment and good business acumen.
• Execute strategies based on hospital priorities and lead individuals/groups toward organizational goals.
• Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, integrity, and diplomacy in all interactions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with MSN preferred.
• Three (3) years of clinical experience with a psychiatric mental health population.
• Previous management and training facilitation experience required.
• Current LCSW or RN licensure, as applicable.
• Current North Carolina Driver’s License.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Six Sigma certification preferred.
