Director, Quality Assurance

About the role

The Director of Quality Assurance will lead the quality assurance efforts for Scopely’s new free-to-play Adventure Game, ensuring high-quality experiences for players worldwide on mobile and PC.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute QA strategies for a major Scopely project, driving quality across multiple platforms and teams.
• Develop and implement test automation frameworks to support rapid development and maintain high quality standards.
• Partner with development teams to embed quality practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Build and lead a high-performing QA team across multiple initiatives and locations.
• Translate quality data and metrics into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
• Manage quality coverage across multiple high-profile releases with strict deadlines.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading Quality Assurance in game development, including senior leadership roles.
• Strong technical expertise and proven ability to achieve high levels of quality through automated testing.
• Experience designing, implementing, or scaling test automation frameworks and modern QA tooling.
• Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Knowledge of Jira or similar defect-tracking and development-management systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of Jira or comparable defect-tracking and development-management systems.
• Proven ability to translate quality data and metrics into clear insights for senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable working within an agile development environment.
• Ability to manage quality coverage across multiple high-profile releases with strict deadlines.

Pay

Annual salary range: $139,400—$205,000 USD
