Job Description Summary

This position oversees two areas: Pulmonary Services and Heart & Vascular Services. The Care Site Director for Heart & Vascular Services manages the integration and direction of H&V services at Grant Medical Center. Key responsibilities include smooth and efficient operations, ensuring patient care and safety, and developing a strategic plan with system partners.

The Site Director for Pulmonary Services oversees and manages the operations of the Pulmonary Services section, working closely with the Administrative and Medical Directors. They also develop a strategic plan with system partners and manage physician relationships.

Responsibilities And Duties

  • Daily operations - Monitors staffing needs and distribution of resources; monitors staffing assignments and productivity; identifies and implements quality improvements; logs incident reports and implements corrective action plans when needed; coordinates respiratory care services with nursing units and physicians; identifies opportunities for computer application and other increased efficiencies; monitors optimal use of all resources; monitors student affiliation activities; reviews, updates, and develops policies and procedures; insures consistent interpretation and implementation of hospital/department policies and procedures; Provides direct leadership to both Respiratory & Heart/Vascular managers; Ensures lean daily operations are effectively executed in all areas of responsibility

  • Strategic planning – Responsible for development of an overall strategic plan in collaboration with the service line & OPG. Works directly with executive leadership, physicians, leadership team and associates to recognize opportunities for growth. Develops/maintains metrics to ensure success as anticipated

  • System responsibilities Responsible for system initiatives as related to Pulmonary and Heart & Vascular.

  • Physician Relationships – Works collaboratively with Medical Director to promote positive relationships with Oncology physicians. Responsive to physician concerns regarding operations and patient issues. Works directly with the physicians to collaborate on goals, metrics, new technology, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree: Business Administration/Management (Required)
