Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the enterprise corporate communications strategy, including messaging frameworks, narrative platforms, and communications standards for HSH and its club portfolio.
  • Lead media relations efforts at the corporate level, building and maintaining relationships with national and local sports, business, and community press.
  • Craft and manage executive communications, including prepared remarks, op-eds, interviews, and thought leadership content for HSH senior leadership.
  • Build and maintain crisis communications protocols, providing strategic counsel and real-time support to club and central office teams when reputational issues arise.
  • Develop club launch communications playbooks and lead earned media strategy for new market entries and major organizational announcements.
  • Manage relationships with PR agencies and external communications partners, ensuring alignment on strategy, quality of output, and efficient use of resources.
  • Partner with the VP, Marketing and cross-functional teams to ensure communications efforts are integrated with broader marketing, sponsorship, and community initiatives.
  • Add additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in public relations, corporate communications, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams or agencies.
  • Strong expertise in corporate communications, media relations, and executive messaging across both traditional and digital media channels.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing crisis communications strategies in fast-moving, high-visibility environments.
  • Penned ability to build and manage agency relationships, including scope management, performance accountability, and budget oversight.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to adapt voice and tone across a range of formats and audiences.
  • Experience supporting organizational launches, market expansions, or major brand moments strongly preferred.
  • Experience in sports, entertainment, or consumer brand environments strongly preferred.
