About the role

The Director, Product Management PDM will lead the strategic product portfolio for Availity's Provider Data Management (PDM) and Symphony product suites. This role involves shaping the products that power critical healthcare workflows across the industry, driving operational excellence, and fostering innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the product strategy for PDM and Symphony, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
  • Manage the strategic roadmap, prioritize work, and remove delivery bottlenecks with the engineering team.
  • Partner with implementation teams to enhance customer onboarding and reduce implementation complexity.
  • Leverage data product expertise to improve how provider data is managed across the platform.
  • Lead continuous discovery processes to test assumptions and iterate on product features based on customer feedback.
  • Drive cross-team innovation and explore opportunities for growth through product line extensions, partnerships, and operational improvements.
  • Owning product metrics, progress, user experience, and operational outcomes, and communicating these to drive iterative improvements.
  • Influence and align activities across product, marketing, IT, sales, and service teams to deliver the product(s).
  • Engage with technical, operational, and enterprise teams to ensure technical feasibility, architectural alignment, and solution scalability.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in product management, preferably in healthcare technology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in healthcare technology, health plans, provider organizations, or healthcare data platforms.
  • Proven track record of managing data-centric products, including data ingestion, validation, enrichment, governance, and master data management.
  • Strong focus on understanding customer needs and market trends, with a history of delivering impactful solutions.
  • Expertise in developing and executing long-term product roadmaps and prioritizing features based on impact and value.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Experience with agile frameworks, lean principles, and product development cycles.
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex product concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading teams through change and managing ambiguity in fast-paced or evolving environments.
  • Track record of achieving measurable business outcomes through product launches.

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in data-centric products, including data pipelines, governance, validation, enrichment, and master data management.
  • Significant experience in healthcare technology, specifically in areas like PDM, provider directories, credentialing, enrollment, and network management.
  • Proven ability to scale product organizations and introduce structured processes and execution frameworks.
