About the Team

Retail Bank Marketing Technology sits at the core of Capital One’s Bank business where complex, enterprise data infrastructure powers how we bring the iconic Capital One brand to life. We are seeking a Director of Product Management to own the strategy of our Audience Data and Reporting teams. You will directly lead a high-performing, blended team of talented product managers and data analysts, owning the vision and execution of our marketing performance data products. Your mission is to transform our vast marketing data ecosystem into a robust data platform that can provide rich audience segmentation and insights to both human marketers and increasingly agentic AI systems. This is a unique opportunity to enhance the data-driven engine that powers our growth and directly impacts the bottom line by empowering leadership, marketers, and analysts with crystal-clear insights.

Responsibilities

  • Own the entire product lifecycle, from defining the strategic roadmap and gathering stakeholder requirements to overseeing the development and maintenance of the robust data infrastructure that powers your products.
  • Lead the "AI Understand" roadmap to discover how emerging generative and agentic technologies will fundamentally reshape the PM workflow and technical fluency.
  • Develop new strategic initiatives that allow for faster learning and market validation by bypassing traditional delivery bottlenecks.
  • Refine cross-functional working models to ensure teams are unified and oriented toward the same goals and outcomes.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Capital One’s Product Framework, focusing on five key areas:
    • Human Centered: Obsess about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions.
    • Business Focused: Deliver game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence.
    • Technology Driven: Leverage technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near-term and long-term value.
    • Integrated Problem Solving: Identify and resolve complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks.
    • Transformational Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any field and at least 5 years of Product Management experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing digital products.
  • Recent, hands-on experience owning end-to-end strategy and execution within a fast-moving technology corporation.

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on the agreed-upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

  • McLean, VA: $230,400 - $263,000 for Director, Product Management
  • New York, NY: $251,400 - $286,900 for Director, Product Management
  • Wilmington, DE: $209,500 - $239,100 for Director, Product Management

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, with the actual annualized salary amount offered reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
