Director, Product Management
This position follows a hybrid-friendly schedule, averaging 2-3 in-office days per week (10-12 days per month) at our St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office. This role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future.
About the Role
The Director, Product Management will own the Client Onboarding (COB) application. This leader will collaborate with business leaders, development teams, end-users, and other support areas to deliver high-quality system solutions. The role is a player/coach position managing a small team to support COB-related projects, with responsibilities spanning oversight, planning, decision-making, analysis, and long-term visioning for the product space. We seek a strong business leader who can evolve the platform through cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of strategy for a significant area of responsibility, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities while ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
- Develop and execute annual business plans for the function or business area, quantifying outcomes (e.g., revenues, KPIs), detailing expense and headcount budgets, and creating business cases for key projects with cross-functional integration.
- Manage and report on the performance of the function/business area, setting performance objectives for direct reports and holding individuals accountable for achieving them.
- Communicate the function’s strategy and its relationship to the organization’s mission, vision, and values, motivating teams to commit to and achieve business goals.
- Attract, develop, and retain talent to ensure the right skills and motivations are in place to meet business needs.
- Review and evaluate recommendations and requirements to develop appropriate action plans.
- Ensure the organization maintains an appropriate culture, values, and design to deliver short- and long-term objectives, effectively managing structural change.
- Analyze data and information from various sources to draw conclusions and make relevant recommendations.
- Optimize workflows to plan, organize, and execute steps for higher efficiency.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of relevant experience, including management or leadership experience (highly preferred).
- Financial services experience (highly preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science, Information Technology, or a High School diploma (required).
- More than 15 years of general work experience, with 10–15 years of management experience.
- Expertise in strategic planning, organizational culture and design, project/program management, and talent development.
- Proven ability to assess complex situations, adapt thinking and work habits, and thrive in dynamic environments.
- Strong communication skills to convey ideas clearly and compellingly.
