Director, Product Management

About the role

Cockroach Labs is seeking a talented individual to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and support of innovative database solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality database solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
• Provide technical guidance and support to users
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of product features and functionality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in database development and management
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CockroachDB and its ecosystem
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go
• Experience with data modeling and database design

Skills

• Technical writing and documentation skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with database performance monitoring and analytics tools
• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Roachers come into one of our offices on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and work flexibly the rest of the week.
