Job Description

We are currently undergoing a massive transformation to become a digital-first, AI-enabled lending powerhouse. Our mission is to solidify our position as the leading platform in Consumer Liability Optimization. Our Lending Product organization supports our market growth through a Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) platform and a technology-first Third-Party Originations (TPO) channel.

Role

The Director of Product Management serves as a senior leader within our Lending Product organization. You will drive the product strategy, architectural vision, and commercial success for our foundational lending product lines, including HELOCs, mortgage loans, personal loans, and new financial products. You will also build, scale, and mentor a world-class product management organization.

Organizational Leadership & Scaling

  • Build, scale, and mentor a world-class, multi-layered product management organization.
  • Establish a high-performance culture rooted in operational discipline, continuous talent development, and product management excellence.

Lending Product Strategy

  • Define and champion the long-term product vision, strategy, and investment roadmap for the Lending Product organization.
  • Ensure the portfolio balances immediate commercial scaling with long-term foundational technical architecture.

Lending Platform Modernization

  • Provide leadership and direction for the development of our next-generation, API-first lending architecture.
  • Drive the modernization of our core lending origination systems, automated decisioning frameworks, real-time pricing engines, and external partner ecosystems.

Accountability

  • Be accountable for the business performance of Lending product lines, tracking core metrics including funnel performance, close rates, time-to-fund, and product profitability.

Cross-Functional Synchronization

  • Act as a critical liaison between Product and key executive stakeholders in Marketing, Capital Markets, Credit Risk, Legal & Compliance, Sales, and Operations.
  • Ensure complex industry regulations are met and seamlessly integrated into scalable, friction-free customer software experiences.

Market Leadership & Innovation

  • Drive the adoption of emerging technologies, modern data/analytics capabilities, and alternative data underwriting methods to stay ahead of fintech competitors and shifting macroeconomic conditions.

Qualifications

  • Technical & Leadership Competencies:
    • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the end-to-end digital consumer lending lifecycle, automated credit risk rules engines, modern loan origination technology stacks, secondary market/capital market constraints, and equity/unsecured debt products.
    • Architectural Vision: Proven experience overseeing complex API-first platform transformations, modern cloud architecture transitions, and enterprise-level data layer definitions.
    • Executive Presence & Influence: Exceptional track record of presenting to, influencing, and aligning C-suite executives and regulatory bodies on highly strategic, high-capital decisions.
    • Execution Excellence: A proven leader who has successfully taken product lines from zero-to-one, as well as scaled consumer facing lending platforms.

  • The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $240,000 + bonus + benefits.
