About the role

The Marketing Director, Product Innovation is a product management leader who owns the vision, strategy, and roadmap for PlayStation's global marketing technology products. This role focuses on building AI-powered, scalable platforms that empower thousands of marketers and reach hundreds of millions of players worldwide, bridging marketing operations, data science, analytics, and technology.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering leaders to define platform architecture, prioritize investments, balance technical debt against innovation, and deliver scalable products that transform global marketing capabilities.
  • Define Marketing Technology product vision informed by customer research, market trends, and internal user insights.
  • Conduct product discovery with Marketing teams globally.
  • Develop a prioritized roadmap based on customer value, technical feasibility, business impact, and other considerations.
  • Launch new platform capabilities and measure adoption, engagement, and business outcomes.
  • Drive continuous experimentation using AI-enabled workflows.
  • Assess opportunities for assistive AI and agentic marketing use cases, manage pilot execution, and ensure scalability.
  • Bridge business requirements from Marketing to Engineering to create technology solutions, owning the process, outcomes, and products.
  • Serve as a thought leader and strategic partner to Media, Creative, Brand Marketing, Product Marketing, and Business Analytics teams.
  • Demonstrate a solutions-oriented mindset, troubleshooting challenges and adapting plans to meet evolving business and market needs.
  • Balance global alignment with appropriate local and product-level flexibility, reinforcing a one SIE mindset while respecting market and portfolio needs.
  • Lead high-priority initiatives, aligning focus, managing execution, driving business outcomes, and measuring success.
  • Conduct market and feasibility assessments of new tools, trends, and advancements in marketing technology and data enablement.
  • Shape short- and long-term roadmaps, driving long-term scalability while balancing day-to-day improvements.
  • Establish alignment across SIE teams that own or influence the marketing technology stack, driving a single, cohesive product vision and roadmap.
  • Partner with marketing leaders to redesign marketing workflows, processes, decision rights, and operating models.
  • Define measures of success and post-launch KPI tracking.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in software engineering, computer science, engineering management, or a related field. Master’s degree or equivalent in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 12+ years of product management experience within marketing solutions or a high-growth technology environment.
  • Experience building and launching enterprise SaaS products or internal platforms.
  • Owned multi-year product roadmaps.
  • Led cross-functional product teams across Engineering, Design, Data Science, and Business.
  • Experience with AI-powered products, ML platforms, or automation.
  • Strong understanding of experimentation, analytics, APIs, and platform thinking.
  • Experience scaling products used globally.
  • Experience navigating change and driving global teams through transformation.
  • Experience influencing senior leadership and leading cross-functional teams across multiple regions.

Pay

The estimated base pay range for this role is $234,100—$351,100 USD.

Base pay may vary based on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and location, in line with SIE’s hybrid working policy.
