About the role

The Director of Portfolio Management is responsible for overseeing the management and administration of a portfolio of commercial real estate loans. This includes ensuring timely and accurate loan documentation, monitoring loan performance, and managing relationships with borrowers and third-party service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the loan portfolio, including loan origination, underwriting, and post-closing activities.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and ensure all loan documents are in accordance with legal standards.
  • Manage relationships with borrowers and third-party service providers to ensure smooth loan administration and timely resolution of issues.
  • Monitor loan performance and take corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve loan administration processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure seamless integration of loan administration activities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial real estate lending or related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful loan portfolio management and loan administration.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate lending regulations and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing large loan portfolios.
  • Knowledge of commercial real estate valuation methods and market trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
