About the role

We’re seeking a Director of Portfolio Management to lead a growing portfolio of performing CRE loans. This role involves assessing asset-level performance, navigating borrower requests and modifications, and mentoring junior professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Assess asset-level performance and spot risks early

  • Improve reporting, streamline processes, and bring a forward-thinking approach to technology, automation, and team development

Requirements

  • 8+ years in commercial real estate lending, credit, portfolio management, asset management, or related experience
  • Direct experience managing a performing CRE portfolio
  • Strong borrower-facing, credit, and negotiation skills
  • Exposure to modifications, restructurings, troubled credits, or lender remedies
  • A proactive, analytical, and solutions-oriented mindset

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending, portfolio management, or related credit leadership roles
  • Strong background in evaluating commercial real estate loans, including analysis of cash flow, collateral, borrower performance, and market trends
  • Demonstrated ability to manage loan modifications, restructuring discussions, covenant matters, and early-stage credit issues
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis, financial modeling, budgeting, and variance interpretation
  • Ability to communicate complex portfolio and credit matters clearly to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners
  • Familiarity with portfolio reporting, risk rating processes, and control-oriented management practices within a banking or lending environment
  • Proficiency in using technology and data-driven tools to improve reporting, monitoring, and operational workflows

Benefits
