About the Role
This role is responsible for developing and executing portfolio strategies within the Interventional Oncology business, focusing on the ablation segment. It exists to identify market opportunities, define portfolio priorities, and develop investment and pricing recommendations that support global growth objectives. The role contributes to the organization by translating business strategies into structured portfolio strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure portfolio decisions align with overall business goals through metrics like revenue contribution and customer acquisition efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategic plans, customer segmentation, and positioning strategies for the microwave ablation portfolio.
- Identify business development opportunities and create actionable strategies based on market analysis.
- Engage with industry experts to influence business strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Conduct market research to identify unmet needs and emerging opportunities in the MW Ablation market.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for product pipeline and portfolio strategy.
- Develop and communicate portfolio roadmaps and lead opportunity screening and business case evaluation.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend investment actions as appropriate.
- Collaborate on regulatory plans and evaluate market opportunities for new products and features.
- Analyze competitor strategies to identify differentiation opportunities.
- Establish and nurture partnerships to amplify brand reach and drive growth.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align priorities with portfolio strategy and customer needs.
- Monitor market adoption and strategic outcomes to inform future portfolio decisions.
- Partner with finance to drive financial models and ROI analyses for product development and marketing initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- 10 years of experience in medical device, medtech, life sciences, or healthcare portfolio/product management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required; a master's degree is preferred.
- Proven ability to influence and lead cross-functional stakeholders in a matrixed global environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and email platforms.
- Experience with portfolio management, market modeling, financial analysis, and roadmap planning tools is preferred.
- Extensive expertise in interventional oncology, embolization and ablation technologies, and related medical device markets.
- Strong professional judgment and decision-making skills.
