We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Director of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery & Dermatology to lead operational growth across one of our most dynamic specialty service lines.

Responsibilities

  • Leading strategic planning initiatives that support clinical growth, physician recruitment, and program development.

  • Partnering with physician leaders, department chairs, hospital leadership, and Medical Group executives to execute system-wide initiatives.

  • Identifying opportunities to expand services, improve patient access, and enhance operational performance.

  • Developing and monitoring annual operating budgets while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Collaborating with academic departments to support education, research, and faculty development.

  • Leading initiatives focused on quality, patient experience, physician engagement, and clinical outcomes.

  • Supporting designation, accreditation, and national ranking initiatives, including opportunities to strengthen RWJBarnabas Health's academic reputation.

  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to grow market presence and community partnerships.

  • Using operational and market data to develop strategic business plans and identify opportunities for continued growth.

Qualifications

  • A Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is required.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare administration, strategic planning, project management, or physician practice operations is required.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale operational initiatives within an academic medical center or complex healthcare environment is preferred.

  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, operational analytics, and business planning is required.

  • Experience working collaboratively with physicians, executive leadership, and multidisciplinary teams is required.

  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and executive presentation skills are essential.

  • Proven ability to lead organizational change, manage competing priorities, and deliver measurable results is required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into strategic decisions are required.
